DAM supporter Alex is running the North East Marathon

Alex Dawson (Meat Hook, Marlow) will be running the Newcastle-Gateshead Marathon is support of DAM

Alex (Meath Hook, Marlow) is taking on the huge challenge of running the North East Marathon on the roads of Newcastle and Gateshead on Sunday 3rd May 2026 in support of DAM.

Alex's Story:

"I have chosen to raise money for Dementia Action Marlow as this is a charity that I have supported since its inception. Helping local people living with dementia, and their carers, is at the heart of what they are trying (successfully) to achieve by providing much-needed support, information, outings, weekly cafés, singing and exercise. My grandfather lived with one of the 125 different dementias -vascular dementia - and I know how this not only affected him but all the loved ones around him. I wish we had had DAM around to support us."
