Transport to Hospital
From 1 April 2025 patient transport services are provided by the EMED Group. For Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire West and Frimley* registered patients who need to attend NHS appointments.

EMED provide non-emergency patient transport services inn partnership with the local NHS service. Vehicles are adapted to support patient medical or mobility needs, who can't reach appointments any other way.

Chiltern Dial-a-Ride
Chilterns Dial-a-Ride is a Charitable Community Benefit Society dedicated to providing an affordable, accessible and safe transport service for people living in the Chiltern District who are not able to transport themselves or use public transport services. Door to door service using wheelchair equipped vehicles. Smaller vehicles are mainly driven by volunteers.

Volunteer Driver Services (VDS)
Oxfordshire, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.

We have a team of around 200 volunteer drivers operating throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and surrounding counties. We also operate in Solihull Borough and Uttoxeter.

We provide transport for:
• essential hospital appointments
• other medical appointments (e.g. GP, dentist, optician)
• visits to loved ones in care homes and hospices
• supermarkets
• visits to people in hospital
• classes that benefit health and wellbeing.

Transport and Escort Service
Marlow Age Concern
The Transport Office is open Monday - Friday, 10.00 - 11.00 am. Outside these hours, leave a message and they will call you back. Cost is 65p per mile. The driver can take you to your medical appointment and will wait to bring you home.
