The Citizens’ Advice telephone line offers general advice and support and there is a wealth of information online at www.citizensadvice.org.uk
CAB have offices in High Wycombe and Henley. The High Wycombe office covers the Marlow area, Freephone number is 0808 278 7938 or 0344 245 1289 (call charges apply) but there is often a long wait (40-60 mins) to be answered, as they have too few advisers to answer the phone. The best way to get a quicker response is to complete the email form on their website with your question.
If you can get through on the telephone an assessor will take your name and details, look up the information and make an appointment with an adviser if thought appropriate. They may be able to help complete Attendance Allowance forms and over the phone or face to face, if necessary. They can also complete a full benefits check-up to see if you are entitled to any other benefits.

Wills & Lasting Power of Attorney
Whilst someone still has mental capacity it is important for them to make a will and to set up a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).
A lasting power of attorney appoints someone else to make decisions on their behalf, in their best interests.
