The Citizens’ Advice telephone line offers general advice and support and there is a wealth of information online at www.citizensadvice.org.uk

CAB have offices in High Wycombe and Henley. The High Wycombe office covers the Marlow area, Freephone number is 0808 278 7938 or 0344 245 1289 (call charges apply) but there is often a long wait (40-60 mins) to be answered, as they have too few advisers to answer the phone. The best way to get a quicker response is to complete the email form on their website with your question.
If you can get through on the telephone an assessor will take your name and details, look up the information and make an appointment with an adviser if thought appropriate. They may be able to help complete Attendance Allowance forms and over the phone or face to face, if necessary. They can also complete a full benefits check-up to see if you are entitled to any other benefits.

PayingForCare (payingforcare.org) is a website launched in 2011 designed to help people make more informed decisions about the arrangements and funding for their long-term care. The site is equally useful for family members, friends, someone who has been granted a power of attorney or the person needing care.
